Project 365 - Week 23

Summer is slowly flying by, just how I like it! We are out & about just about everyday, & we may all have a fantastic tan going for us...

Sunday: Father's Day Fun!

Monday: Messy Playdate!...8 toddlers, 5 moms...whew!

Tuesday: Sometimes you have to throw the trains & grab a baby doll...

Wednesday: He found his shoes & put them on (the right feet) all by himself!

Thursday: DuPage Children's Museum, dancing her tail off...

Friday: Madden 13 Pro-Am...& the first time at "The Bean!"

Saturday: 1st toddler beds, then we ditched the gates & now we uncaged the TV...
our babies are growing up!!

Da Beach!

We packed up the car & hit the beach last weekend. I always see movies where people lug half there house to the beach, but it was nothing like that. Maybe I am just that awesome, that I know what we will and will not need? It wasn't as warm as I thought, but they didn't care! There was no swimming, just wading. C&P played with sand, looked for rocks & ran up & down the hills.

Project 365 - Week 22

You'd think I would have all the time in the world to blog, HA...theses kids are needy! They want food, diapers, to be driven to the pool & to play hide 'n seek...uggh, someone has to do it!

Sunday: Dining al fresco...

Monday: This is how I found her after nap time, that's a whole lota' books!


Tuesday: I wonder if they know that their friends are still over?


Wednesday: Their 1st music class at the library. Non-stop moving for 30 minutes, they napped really well that day!


Thursday: Johnson kids, Valerie & Babe Winkleman supporting the David F. Johnson Accessible Fishing Pier Project!



Friday: "Auntie" Marc couldn't leave with out reading C&P a bedtime story, which turned into 5...sucker!


Saturday: 1st trip to the/a beach! Lake Michigan is COLD!

Sand & Sunscreen...Must Be Summer!

The lazy days of summer are finally here! Our pool pass will be getting a lot of use, especially after a very successful solo trip...did I just jinx myself? C&P love the sand area the most. They spend most of their time keeping an eye out for that sneaky dolphin that squirts freezing cold water. Paige has learned that if she loses sight of her shovel, it will be gone. The 1st time she practically let kids take it from her hands. The 2nd time, she was like the secret service guarding it...good for her!

Project 365 - Week 21

It's here, it's finally here...SUMMER!
(Sorry, I can't help myself.)

Sunday: Run to the pool little girl, run!


Monday: What else would we do the first day of Mommy's vacation?


Tuesday: If you think they turned into Smurfs after this, you are so wrong...it's like they are civilized or something.


Wednesday: First trip to the DP library, & they rocked it!


Thursday: Zoo trip with some friends!


Friday: Could he be anymore comfy??


Saturday: I would have a garage sale in 90+ degree weather!

Seyler's Unleashed

It was bound to happen, it needed to happen...the cribs had to come down. Obviously, I got a little nostalgic when it happened. I put those cribs up almost 3 years ago, pregnant and all! I remember buying one crib, and learning days later that I needed two...heart attack!

The deconstruction began...


A hidden gem from the past was found, a paci!

Paige later decided that she wanted the bed against the wall, wanted a Minnie blanket instead of her comforter and she wanted nothing to do with a pillow (that's what stuffed animals are for, duh).

And we were able to cut her stuffed animal count by 80%!

I was dreading the experience, but so far we have all survived. I do have to say, it is so nice not to have to get up to get them for morning snuggle/iPad time, they just come running in!

Project 365 - Week 20

Memorial Day weekend has arrived! Helllo Summer Vacation!!

Sunday: Her 1st Starbucks Frap (no coffee, she's the last person who needs coffee in my house!).



Monday: Memorial Day BBQ at Grandpa Seyler's!



Tuesday: Showing his "guns."


Wednesday: How amazing that I captured this rare moment on camera...


Thursday: H-O-A-R-D-E-R.


Friday: The phrase "put on your shoes" should be specified more clearly next time.


Saturday: The day has come, my babies are growing up!!! It was sad, I got sentimental, THE CRIBS ARE GONE!

What a week! School ended, and the build up to Saturday's crib demo was almost torture!
