Pumpkins, Strawberries, and Sharks, Oh My!
It's fall & it's the weekend, so that means it's time for another pumpkin farm! Today we met up with the Lyda's at Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm in Huntley. Last week we were at the Goebbert's in Barrington, but our vote is for the Huntley location! C&P ran a muck today! The highlights were the corn maze, haunted house (Cam will tell you otherwise), goats, and giraffes (at eye level, too!). We started with the kids in their costumes (it's tradition), but changed them when the temp went up (83 in October!). It's a good thing we planned on changing clothes because one cute little puppy decided to sit in pig poop!

Thirteen Thoughts for Thursday
It's only Thursday????
1. Paige spends a lot of time in timeout.
2. Paige loves to climb on the end tables and up the back of the couch...hence, spending a lot of time in timeout.
3. C&P's new favorite activity is finger painting. Hey, if I let them paint with chocolate pudding, finger paint is a no-brainer!
4. C&P have painted a few times, but have only tasted finger paints once...cause & effect?!!?
5. I think I have a Target addiction...When we pulled into the parking lot the other day Cam yelled "Tar-get!"...I love that kid!
6. I'm still waiting for Paige to crawl out of her crib...
7. Cam stole one of Paige's many stuffed animals last night and brought it into his crib. I think he went to sleep with a smile on his face!
8. P has been asking for "pretties" lately, this means she wants her toes painted...she rocks!
9. Hi, do we love this weather????
10. I often wonder who would have been my dad's favorite (he would have had one, let's be honest). I figured it out...Paige! She walked around the whole back yard today picking up sticks. Anyone who knew my dad knows that he was all about kindle for the fire!
11. The next two weeks are going to be insane!! Another pumpkin patch this weekend, the Apple Orchard on Columbus Day, my birthday next Thursday (oh yeah, and my brother's...), dinner with friends and family next weekend, and Jamaica the following Thursday!!!
12. Maybe I should start preparing for Nana's stay...I see lists in my future...I love lists!
13. On a sadder note: This week has been tough. One of my students passed away as well as a very close family friend. It makes me grateful for those I have, and the time I have with them.

Tales from a Twin Mom
I would be lying if I said that I loved taking the kids to Target (or similar outings). When C&P were infants we would get stopped numerous times while in a store. At first, Mike & I humored people by answering all of their questions and thinking of responses to their comments. We were new to the Twinland, why not stop & chat about our adorable twins! Eventually, it got to a point that Mike & I stopped making eye contact with people in public. Now, the novelty has worn off and people don't drool over C&P as much now that they are toddlers...(You're still cute kids, don't worry!) either that or I'm just really good at ignoring people. Nowadays I don't get questions, I get comments...
"Wow, when was the last time you slept?" Last night!
"I bet your house is a wreck?" Sometimes.
"I bet your hands are full!" Yes, with love!
"DOUBLE TROUBLE!" Double kisses & hugs!!
"Yikes!" I hate you.
"That looks like a double-wide!" It's a double stroller, it is.
I of course could go on, but those are some of my favs. There's my twin mom vent for Tuesday!
