March for Babies 2012

On April 29th we will once again be walking in the 2012 March for Babies. We hope all our local friends and family will be able to join us, but if you can't walk with us we hope you will consider donating to our team to support the March of Dimes by CLICKING HERE.

Why do we support the March of Dimes? Because we will never forget that this is how our beautiful children began their lives:

Cameron

Paige

Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. Cam & Paige were born 5 weeks prematurely, and spent 2 1/2 weeks in the NICU before leaving with a clean bill of health. Sadly, not all babies are born healthy. We walk so that one day we will live in a world where all babies are born healthy.

Project 365 - Week 8

Sorry, it was just way to nice out yesterday to post anything! The morning was spent cleaning & going to the park....I cleaned, and everyone else hit the park. I knew they had a good time when the boy came running in with dirt all over his face! After attempting to go see the Lorax in the afternoon, we spent the rest of the day outside! Did you know that they give refunds if your 2 year olds are naughty & only last 30 minutes? After bedtime I was a vegetable on the couch, thus no blogging.

So here it is...

Sunday: Too cool for breakfast.

Monday: I am Cornholio, I need TP for my...bathroom.

Tuesday: "Most Likely to Spend Daddy's Money"

Wednesday: Their new fav, BLOCKS! Go figure.

Thursday: Watching "kids-toons."

Friday: I know it's a 50/50 shot, but he generally knows his left from his right!

Saturday: Our attempt at The Lorax in 3D...FAIL!

Have you see this yet???

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today Mike celebrates his 31st birthday, what an old man! He had a few celebrations this weekend, which is hilarious since he HATES celebrating his birthday! Here's a mini photo recap...

First of all, this little gem arrived yesterday, & it was addressed to him... Bahahaha!

Cake #1 with sport balls, oh yeah!

Cake #2...carrot cake with embellishments...

Guess who got a new Cubs shirt & street sign for the Cubs room? He also bought a basketball (or 2), & they are all he talks about!

After that amazing Christmas photo, this is as good as we get. We are all in it, & you can see everyone's face.Link
Happy Birthday, Daddy! If only there was a new Glee on tonight to continue your celebration. Oh well, I guess we will watch The Duggars and a Law & Order: SVU rerun.

Shhhhhh...

I love firsts! On Sunday afternoon we took C&P to their first movie! Skipping ahead, they had a blast! We went to see this movie....

Here is the play by play...

  • I wanted to go to the 10 am showing, but someone else (I'll give you a hint, he sleeps next to me) wanted to go to the afternoon showing at 2:40.

  • It was packed when we arrived promptly at 2:40 (too early & we would risk them getting antsy). How was this movie packed? I've never even heard of it! Ok, truth is I was mad and just wanted to see Beauty & the Beast, but it ended last week.

  • We planned to not share their age with staff...I am not paying $12 for "first timers," I'm just not! No one even asked, nice!

  • We got our tickets, popcorn, & Dad got a massive orange Coke. While he was paying I headed into the theater with C&P. This was almost a distaster. We walked alllll the way up to the back where I spotted one of theose nice family seating areas, and of course some people had their coats saving it...boo! We walked all the way back down (still alone) and found seats in the 3rd row (Can you say chiropractor?). I'm sure the crowd was rolling their eyes at "the poor girls with twins, she must be so tired."

  • Mike eventually joined us and the previews started. This is where it gets great...THEY WERE IN HEAVEN! I thought they would be scared, but they were naturals. Eating popcorn and eyes glued to the screen.

  • Of course the disney logo popped up & Cam yelled "Toy Story!" Almost...

  • Speeding ahead, they were doing great, then the popcorn ran out, and then the Skittles. Now came the chatting...

  • The last 15-20 minutes we lost them. Cam wanted down, then was babbling about some guy in a hat. Paige wanted to kick the seat filled with a cute old man. A little walk in the lobby followed by a 2nd attempt in the theater & we were out of there! Did I mention that Mike really wanted to take them to the movies by himself on Saturday when I was at the mall? Have that man committed!

All in all, they were great! We almost made it to the end, & that's about 1 hour longer than I thought they would make it! I think if it was a Pixar movie we would have been in business (think Toy Story, Monsters Inc.c ect). They are not big into "cartoons." It was another adventure that shows us how fast they are growing up!

We will go back (to the 10 am showing) and see this...
