Good Bye 2011

2011 was good to the Seyler's! We have so much to be thankful for including are awesome family of friends! Speaking of friends, C&P are having their very 1st sleep over tonight with their best friends Avery & Parker! We thought it would be fun to ring in the new year together, since we do everything else together! There will be strict rules enforced...

1. Boys in one room, girls in the other.

2. Stay in your own crib.

3. No biting.

4. Lights out by 8 o'clock...hey, I'm letting them stay up late already!

(Photos to come tomorrow)

To Ring in the new year I thought I would share our Top 10 Memories of 2011, in no particular order...

1. Cameron walked for the 1st time in 2011.

2. Trips to the Splash Park in the summer.

3. Brookfield Zoo trip with the Lyda's & Martija's.

4. The gift of a snow blower thanks to Grandpa Seyler, & of course it has yet to snow...

5. Mommy loves her job & caseload this year!

6. Paige peed in the potty!

7. There was an amazing Blizzard than won against the Seyler's!

8. We had an AMAZING Christmas with all of our family, & it didn't snow when we traveled!

9. We spent 4 glorious days in Jamaica to celebrate an amazing friend's marriage!

10. My preemies turned two! Oh boy, here we go!

Bring on 2012!

What's Potty Training?

The Seyler house is a a flutter with the thought of potty training! Miss Paige has decided that she would like to pee on the potty now, which is fine by me!,...$$$$$, get my drift? On Monday she said "pee in the potty" & off we went, & she did! She was SO proud of herself, & so was I...I may have shed a tear. Cameron?...Hahaha, NO...not ready! We are not in full-on potty training with Paige, but I have gathered all necessary supplies

1. M&Ms...I am not above bribery.
2. Marshmallows...we need options.
3. Pull-Ups...too bad they don't sell Mickey ones.
4. Flushable wipes..for obvious reasons.
5. Hand sanitizer...because even after you wash their hands, they still manage to touch EVERYTHING!
5. * A 2nd potty...in pink!
Fisher-Price Precious Planet Potty
* I have quickly learned that if you have multiples, & are starting to potty train, you NEED TWO potties! I know this from observation...& by observation I mean observing Cameron physically try to push & pull Paige off the potty...while she was going!

Once I for a plan & get Grandma on board with the same plan, I think we might be in business! Pray for me.

The Third & Final Christmas of 2011

We are very fortunate to have lots of family to celebrate Christmas with. Our final stop was to Aunt Michelle & Uncle Marc's house. I also have to thank Mother Nature for cooperating with the Seylers travel this weekend, NO SNOW! A white Christmas is pretty, but not too fun to drive in. I think we have started a new tradition at Marc & Michelle's house

Tacky Sweaters!

We were once again spoiled with more gifts!
Look, we got to hang with Milo...who really didn't want to hang with us!

Playing with Grandpa

Playing Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater

Ready to dig in!
A helmet to match his bike from Grandpa, I think he should wear this 24/7.

Sit N Spin from Uncle Marc & Aunt Michelle

C&P's gift to Aunt Michelle!

That's a wrap!

Last year was fun, this year was a blast...I can't wait for next year!

Woopie, A Zeplin!

After our late night last night, I am happy to report that C&P slept until 7:45! After we got set up, (diapers changed, milk handed out, mom & dad wiped brushed their teeth...) we were ready to unveil the "Crapisies" Tree...

Santa came last night after C&P were all tucked in. We had such a crazy night that we forgot to leave milk & cookies for Santa! No worries though, he said he would get some across the street. It took us almost an hour to unwrap gifts because C&P needed each thing open, RIGHT THEN! Our goal was to have the presents unwrapped by the time Ralphie unwrapped his. It took us almost an hour, but we made it!

We didn't get any of this (luckily!)

But we got a lot of this...

We did have one more celebration...more on this tomorrow, I'm beat!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Crapisies!

Paige says it best, "Merry Crapisies!" We had a super fun time at Uncle Steve & Aunt Cheri's for some Christmas Eve fun! All of the cousins were there (Sofia, Logan, Vincent, Gianna & Ella). All of the aunt & uncles were these, (Steve, Cheri, Trish & Bill) and the Grands (Nana, Grandpa Dan & Grandma Val). Grandpa Dave looked over us, and Trish & I did him proud by eating his favorite turkey part...the leg!

The Johnson's, Seyler's, & Flosi's were very good this year! (I wish I could say that this was all the presents...)

We had lots of yummy eats, & a super moist turkey (you're welcome for the roaster!)

Love it!

Cameron has Pirate Envy!

Logan has the best reactions!

Christmas Jammies!

Johnson's 4 Life.

No night is complete without trying to photograph 7 kids under 7! Not too shabby...

C&P stayed up late, & were actually in good moods at 9:00! They didn't last long once in the car!

That pretty much sums up our Christmas Eve! More on Christmas morning later!

Line 'em Up!

The Seyler twins have a little OCD going on! They line up anything & everything. Below is proof.

P with her friends in a row.
P with mini Oreos.
P with blocks.
C with cookie cutters.
P with carrots.

I'm sure I could round up more photos, but you get the idea!

Hanging a Wreath on Santa by the Tree..

...Well, not quite, but we did make wreaths, trees & Santa!

I found this wreath idea at work (so many classrooms, so many ideas!).

Teal Light Wreaths

What art project is complete without glitter??

Dried peas...

Dump peas out of bowl, I mean dump peas in bowl...

Mix with glue until combined...

Add battery operated tea light in middle of pea/glue mixture...

Form peas around tea light & pack tightly...

Add glitter and...Taa Daa!

Next up, my favorite type of craft...Paper Plate Santa! Do you know they sell books on how to make anything out of a paper plate? Lucky for me the internet has dozens! C&P were very into this! They put all the pieces/cotton balls on the plate after I squirted the glue on (I'm not ready for glue or markers!).

Hand Print Christmas Trees

I have one more craft to share, but must wait because I can't spoil the surprise! On another note, Tomorrow we are making cookies for Santa...and Santa requested chocolate chip :)
